Alabama PTA has three scholarship opportunities. 

Reflections Scholarship

DEADLINE January 18, 2020

The Ballentine Memorial scholarship is awarded annually to high school seniors who participated in the Reflections program.

One $500 scholarship awarded to a high school senior.



The scholarship is awarded to a high school senior who participated in the Reflections program.


If the PTA at your school does not sponsor the Reflections program, you can still ask your PTA president to accept a Reflections entry from you and 

  1.  If your PTA is in a council, submit it to the council level of judging, or 

  2.  If your PTA is not in a council, submit it directly to the state level of judging.


The application and supporting documents must be submitted to Alabama PTA, 3066 Zelda Rd., PMB 252, Montgomery AL 36106 and received by January 18, 2020.


Scholarship Legacy

Yvonne Ballentine was a dedicated staff member of Alabama PTA for 18 years. She was especially enthusiastic about the National PTA Reflections Cultural Arts Program and this scholarship was created in her memory.


Deadline to Apply: April 1, 2020

The Elizabeth Baldwin Hill Scholarship is awarded annually to a college junior pursuing teacher certification in a publicly supported Alabama college or university.

A one-time scholarship of $500, paid to the recipient's college or university after May 1st.


The winner will be notified by mail  and invited to attend the Alabama PTA Awards Banquet.
