Request a Parent Involvement Presentation
National PTA launched a major initiative in August 1999, to train PTA leaders to present the organization's Building Successful Partnerships program.

Throughout the country, U.S. Virgin Islands and where Department of Defense schools are located in Europe and the Pacific, more than 1,000 PTA leaders are available to give presentations on the benefits of parent involvement, the components of effective parent involvement programs, and how to implement the National Standards for Parent/Family Involvement Programs.
In 2007, National PTA updated the information to National Standards for Family-School Partnerships to encompass the following six standards:
- Welcoming All Families,
- Communicating Effectively,
- Supporting Student Success,
- Speaking Up for Every Child,
- Sharing Power and
- Collaborating with Community
Building Successful Partnerships is PTA’s national campaign to build awareness about the critical link between family involvement and student success. PTA’s National Standards for Family-School Partnerships provide a framework for moving putting this message into action.
