REFLECTIONS SCHOLARSHIP

Application Deadline - February 1, 2009

The Ballentine Memorial scholarship is awarded annually to a
high school senior who participated in the Reflections program.

One $500 scholarship awarded to a high school senior

Deadline: Postmark on or before February 1, 2009

Yvonne Ballentine was a dedicated staff member of Alabama PTA for 18 years. She was especially enthusiastic about the National PTA Reflections Cultural Arts Program and this scholarship was created in her memory. The Yvonne Ballentine Memorial Reflections Scholarship awards a one-time $500 scholarship to a high school senior. It is related to, but separate from the Reflections Program, which is an arts program for students in preschool through grade 12. The scholarship is open only to high school seniors who participate in the larger Reflections Program.

If the PTA at your school does not sponsor the Reflections program, you can still ask your PTA president to accept a Reflections entry from you and

(1) if your PTA is in a council, submit it to the council level of judging, or

(2) if your PTA is not in a council, submit it directly to the state level of judging.

The application package contains more detail and is offered in two formats below. If you have questions, please call the Alabama PTA office at 334 834-2501.
